pennsylvania council of the arts Partner meeting 2022

In October 2022 the PCA hosted their annual partner meeting at Artsquest in Bethlehem, PA. As a part of that meeting I ran a workshop for all the partners to create felted flowers. Over a three hour workshop, 50 partners learned how to wet felt and how to sculpt wool into a variety of real and imaginary flowers, the vast majority of whom had never felted before! After that workshop I took their flowers back to my studio to arrange and stitch them onto an entangled felted vine background. The final community created living wall will travel with the PCA to meetings around the state of Pennsylvania to highlight the kind of art ad programming that they fund and support within the state. x
