Create your own custom wool felted slippers during this two-night felting workshop with the ancient process of wet felting. We will be working with wool roving, water, soap and use the power of our own two hands to transform the wool fibers into sculpted, wearable slippers. You will learn the process of the wet felting, three-dimensional wet felting and the process of felting over premade forms. This workshop will include some work that needs to be done before and after the workshop on the student's own time. You will receive instructions on how to create a last from recycled materials. (A last is a shoe form that will be custom molded to your feet so your slippers will fit you perfectly.) After the workshop when your slippers are perfectly dry, you will be able to add a sole to your slippers if desired. Those instructions and materials will be given to you at the workshop along with a demonstration so you can complete that task at your convenience. Get ready for winter by creating the coziest, handmade slippers to keep you warm and learn an ancient skill in the process!
